PRESS RELEASE: Want To Be in a Band?
18 02 09 - 10:49It is with regret that Rome Burns must announce that Tori will be leaving the band later in 2009 to concentrate more on her career (or, we suspect, to merely chase boys and to search for the secret of Haribo)
I think it's fair to say that in the couple of years she's been with us she has brought so much energy and light that it's hard to remember the time before Tori (or BT as historians will presumably call this period)... but Rome Burns will continue to produce and perform weird, warped and wonderful music for themselves and the world at large.
As Rome Burns fans there are two things you can do to help the band during this transition. Firstly if you all buy hundreds of albums each then you can make Rome Burns profitable (and indeed lucrative) and we can all give up our other jobs and become full-time musicians... or secondly (and more realistically) if you know of a suitable replacement bassist please get in contact via this website.
Ideally a Rome Burns bassist should know how to play the bass, be able to put up with the band and the strange and frightening world of gigs, promotions and recordings, be able to travel to the aforementioned gigs, promotions and recordings and should have that intangible quality known as 'a good attitude'.
